Reworked eggs

 Oil on wood 16 x 8"
I was never happy with the colours of the original so reworked this egg painting, after and before. I didnt repaint the eggs themselves so it just goes to show how tricky acurate and consistent photography is.

Oil on Linen 20 x 40"
I keep coming back to this one, its been on a off the easel for a couple of years now and I hope its finally finished.  I like the concept, its been developed from a telephone camera holiday snap  - not even mine, but the idea was better than the reference material so I had to learn along the way.  Its tricky to photograph as blues and purples seem to be and so looks better in reality.

Nanny Dog

Sometimes I get inspired by a picture I see on a friends timeline on Facebook.  So I pinch it and paint it and if it comes out ok go for retrospective permission.

Once such example.

Painting petite

Some small, quick, painted poses from last weekend - most of them 20 to 40 minutes.  Its taken me a while to get back into painting such quick poses from life but its good fun.  These are on tiny canvasses, the largest being 8" x 8".  I quite like them as a set but if I decide not to recycle them a bit of touching up may be necessary - always a bit of a dilemma because I kind of like to keep life sketches pure.
